Mystery Women Writing Competition
Short Story Competition
Attention Budding Crime Writers! Take up the challenge of writing a 1,000 word crime story. Open only to unpublished authors, the story should be entitled, 'Mystery Woman' or 'Mystery Women'. There is a prize of £100, a conference ticket to Crimefest 2011 and the winning entry will be published in the Mystery Women magazine. Competition closes on the 28th February.

Featured Guest Authors will include Colin Dexter.
Also participating are M.C. Beaton, Natasha Cooper, John Curran and Ariana Franklin.
National Crime Fiction Week
14 June
The Crime Writers Association will hold a National Crime Fiction Week to celebrate crime writing. During the week, members of the CWA will take part in readings, discussions, readers' group events and workshops all over the country.
Murder Mystery Event
15 June
Hosted by Mary Andrea Clarke in Reading Library.
Starting at 7.30pm. It is £4 per person or £3 for library members. Teams of up to four people and there will be prizes for the winning team. Refreshments will be served.
2nd Murder Mystery Event
25 June
7.30pm at the Eat Dirt Café, St Ives Road, Maidenhead.
The scenario is ‘the dance of death’.
